As part of the Illuminated River Project- a design competition to light four landmark bridges in Central London, I was asked to run a series of schools projects . Students in four London schools were asked to generate blue sky ideas for designs. My role was to facilitate the design sessions and produce a series of presentation pitches, using film, animation and model-making. The results were as diverse as the ideas, ranging from a public texting bridge, a bridge that comes to life at midnight, a projected video history of London, a bridge covered in phosperant algae and a sensory light maze!
The project was run by (amongst others) The Mayor Of London, The Rothschild Foundation and Totally Thames. The results were presented in an exhibition at Royal Festival Hall.
